Folders, stars and a Recent view keep the files you use most close at hand. Search finds files by name or description and narrows the results by type.
Share a file or a folder by email as Viewer, Commenter or Editor. A folder share covers everything inside it, and the server enforces each role on every request.
Send a link to people who don't use Motaware. Add a password, an expiry date or a visit limit, turn off downloads, and revoke the link whenever you like.
Upload a new version of a file and the earlier ones are kept. Download or restore any of them, and bring deleted items back from the trash within 30 days.
Open images, PDFs, video, audio and text files right in the browser, and talk about them in threaded comments next to the file.

Drive counts the files you own, including earlier versions and the trash; files shared with you don't count. If a paid plan ends, Drive stays readable for 90 days so you can download everything.
Compare plansEvery upload and every new version is checked for malware first. Infected files are refused and never saved, and if the scanner can't give a verdict the upload is refused rather than let through.
File contents are only served through signed links that expire within two hours, issued after your access has been checked. Revoking a public link stops it working straight away.
Viewer, Commenter and Editor rights are checked by the server on every request, not just hidden in the interface. Without access, a file simply isn't there.
A password-protected link unlocks for an hour at a time, and changing the password signs every visitor out. Web pages and scripts always download instead of opening in the browser.
Up to 1 GB per file. Folders and multiple files can be downloaded together as one zip of up to 4 GB.

Yes. Create a public link, optionally with a password, an expiry date or a visit limit. Link visitors can view and, unless you turn it off, download, but they can never edit. To give someone a Commenter or Editor role, share by email; they get access once they have a free Motaware account.
Deleted items stay in the trash for 30 days and restore to their original folder. When you upload a new version of a file from its page, the earlier versions are kept and you can download or restore any of them.
Nothing is deleted straight away. Drive becomes read-only for 90 days: you can still open, preview and download everything, including whole folders as zip files. Subscribe again to make changes.
