Checklists
Turn any list into a checklist and tick items off as you go. Checklists sit alongside your text in the same note.

Attachments, import and export
Attach files to a note, up to 25 MB each; images show in the note and other files download. Import Markdown, HTML and text files, and export any note as Markdown, HTML or plain text.
- Deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days
- Deleting a notebook moves its notes to the trash

Only attachments count towards storage, not the text of your notes. If a paid plan ends, your notes stay readable and exportable for 90 days.

Private attachment links
Attachments are never kept in a public folder. Each one is served through a signed link that names exactly one file and expires after 8 hours.
Files can't run in your browser
Only common image types open in the browser. Everything else downloads, and web pages or SVG files are never shown as pages.
Protected by your account
Sign in with your Motaware account, which supports two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.
Questions about Notes
Can I share a note or edit it with someone else?
Not yet. Notes are private to your account. To share one, export it as Markdown or HTML, or write it in Docs.
Can Notes remind me about something?
Not yet. For reminders and due dates, use Tasks.
What if I edit the same note on two devices?
Notes notices and asks which version you want to keep, so nothing is overwritten without you knowing. Notes keeps the latest version only; there is no version history yet.
How much can I attach?
Each attachment can be up to 25 MB, and together they can use the storage figure for your plan shown above. See Pricing for the plans.
What happens to my notes if my paid plan ends?
Nothing is deleted straight away. Notes becomes read-only for 90 days: you can still open, search and export every note. Subscribe again to make changes.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Notes works in any modern browser and keeps your notes in sync wherever you sign in.
