A full formula engine with functions you can browse from the Insert menu. Refer to other sheets by name and give ranges names you can use in formulas.
Turn a range into a column, bar, line, area, pie, doughnut or scatter chart that sits right on the sheet.
Sort a sheet or a range, filter rows, and add drop-down lists or rules that check what people type. Conditional formatting highlights the values that matter.
Number, currency, percent, date and time formats, fonts and colours, borders, merged cells, text wrapping and rotation.
Share by email as Viewer, Commenter or Editor, or create a link with an optional password and expiry date. Comment on cells, and see changes from others without reloading.
A version is saved every 10 minutes while you edit, and you can name your own and restore any of them. Start from templates such as a monthly budget, an invoice or a project plan.

Versions you name are kept for the life of the workbook. If a paid plan ends, your workbooks stay readable and downloadable for 90 days.
Compare plansViewer, Commenter and Editor rights are checked by the server on every change, and a protected sheet can only be edited by its owner.
A share link can carry a password and an expiry date, and the password is checked again on every request the page makes.
Sharing by email only matches accounts whose address Motaware has verified, so nobody can claim your workbook by signing up with someone else's email.
Yes. Import .xlsx, .xlsm, CSV and TSV files up to 25 MB. Download a workbook as Excel, or the current sheet as CSV or TSV.
Use Print / Save as PDF in the File menu, which opens your browser's print dialog. There is no separate PDF download yet.
Not yet. You can sort, filter, chart and summarise data with formulas and named ranges.
Yes. Create a share link, optionally with a password and an expiry date. Visitors can view it without an account; to comment or edit, they sign in with a free Motaware account.
Nothing is deleted straight away. Sheets becomes read-only for 90 days: you can still open and download your workbooks. Subscribe again to make changes. See Pricing for the plans.
